|
Urologic diseases that occur in the urinary tract and reproductive organs are a specialty of the Department of Urology, and standardized medical services can be provided. The purpose of this study is to investigate the annual trends in the frequency of urologic surgeries, procedures, and functional examinations according hospital type and use it as basic data for the introduction of Urology Specialty Hospital. We used the 2018 National Health Insurance Data from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service. As a result, it is predicted that the main surgical operations in Urology Specialty Hospital will consist of transurethral surgery, some major surgeries, women's surgery, and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. Robotic surgery and focal treatment are also expected to be the main surgical actions for localized small urological tumors. Urology Specialty Hospitals are expected to be able to manage voiding problems and cope with various complications of nursing elderly patients. In order to activate specialized hospitals, it is important to deregulate the installation and operation of diagnostic equipment such as CT.
